Summary of changes
Based on the cooperation agreement concluded with Szerencsejáték Zrt., the MLSZ acts jointly in order to preserve the integrity of Hungarian football, to prevent match-fixing and to protect against the unfair influence of the outcome of matches. The cooperation covers the full-size football pitch men's NB I and NB II and the women's NB I levels, including matches where Szerencsejáték Zrt. offers a betting opportunity for the event. 1. Where can you find information on data processing?
MLSZ has prepared this policy in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union 2016/679 (hereinafter: GDPR or Regulation) with the specific purpose of making the data processing operations transparent in an easily understandable way.
This privacy policy contains the main information related to the given data processing (legal basis, purpose of the data processing, scope of processed data, duration and your rights), that supplemented by a document called General Information on Data Processing, which explains your rights, how you can exercise them, the data security obligations and the rules for amending this privacy policy. 2. Presentation of processing cases and the scope of processed data
Based on the cooperation agreement concluded with Szerencsejáték Zrt., the MLSZ acts jointly in order to preserve the integrity of Hungarian football, to prevent match-fixing and to protect against the unfair influence of the outcome of matches.
The cooperation covers the full-size football pitch men's NB I and NB II and the women's NB I levels, including matches where Szerencsejáték Zrt. offers a betting opportunity for the event.
Based on the cooperation agreement, MLSZ transfers the following personal data about the data subjects to Szerencsejáték Zrt.:
- the name of the data subject,
- place of birth,
- date of birth,
- position,
- if relevant, the name of the sports association.
MLSZ only in the high-stakes men's NB I and NB II and high-stakes women's NB I matches included in the betting offer of Szerencsejáték Zrt.:
- player entering the field;
- participant, sports professional as defined here: persons with a registration card in the above-mentioned competition systems;
- participant, referee and his/her assistant as defined here: members of a national refereeing squad, that is holders of NB I and/or NB II licenses.
MLSZ and Szerencsejáték Zrt. also investigate suspicious sports bets, with special regard to cases where the data subject bets on a match organized with the participation of his/her sports association. The regulations of the MLSZ require the data subject to refrain from such acts.
If Szerencsejáték Zrt. detects a suspicious betting event, it returns information about it to the MLSZ, indicating who is involved in the betting. Based on this, the MLSZ acts against the data subject in its own competence, within the framework of disciplinary proceedings.
In connection with the transfer of data, Szerencsejáték Zrt. acts as an independent data controller within the framework specified in the cooperation agreement, however, it is obliged to process them in accordance with the related cooperation agreement.
3. Duration of data processing
The duration of the data subject's data processing lasts as long as the data subject actively participates in the men's NB I and NB II and women's NB I competition systems, which are among the matches offered for betting.
If the data subject no longer participates in the men's NB I and NB II or women's NB I competition systems, or if the competition system is removed from the competition systems offered for betting, the data processing will last until the end of the next transfer period.
4. Purpose of data processing
The purpose of the data processing is to preserve the integrity of the Hungarian football sport, to prevent match-fixing and to increase the protection against the unfair influence of the outcome of the matches, and to facilitate the enforcement of the MLSZ regulations in the case of the designated full-size pitch football classes.
5. Recipients of data, categories of recipients
The MLSZ forwards the data to Szerencsejáték Zrt.
6. Source of personal data
The data are set by the MLSZ on the basis of its own records, which are sourced from the referees and their assistants themself, in the case of football players and other sports professionals, the sports organization.
7. Legal basis for data processing
The legal basis for data processing is Article 6 (1) (f) of the Regulation, as it is also in the interest of MLSZ and Szerencsejáték Zrt. to prevent match-fixing and to protect against the unfair influence of the outcome of matches.
This defence also extends to the two organizations coordinate their activities, mutually helping each other in screening out suspicious events.
When defining data processing, the MLSZ:
- used only those matches as a basis, where Szerencsejáték Zrt. offers betting, in addition, it does not transfer data
- considered that fraud is a danger to the sport as a whole, there have been examples of misuses in the past, thus protection against such acts, which would otherwise also constitute criminal offenses, is justified,
- prepared a balancing test and found that its interests are stronger than the data subjects' freedoms and possible demands for non-processing of their personal data;
- found that data processing is suitable for achieving the pursued aim.
8. Rights of the data subject
Under the Regulation data subjects have several rights (e.g. request for information, right to access personal data, right to erasure and forget, right to restrict, right to withdraw consent, right to apply to supervisory authority and court) however, what rights can be exercised, how and on what legal basis of data processing, the document entitled General Information on Data Processing contains

Instead of a minor data subject under the age of 16 can exercise his/her rights by his or her legal representative, instead of a minor data subject over the age of 16 can exercise his/her rights by his or her legal representative.
