Accreditation Request for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship Hungary-Slovenia 2021
| Identity of the Data Controller | You have provided or are about to provide personal data of data subjects to Union des Association Européennes de Football (UEFA), whose offices are located at Route de Genève 46, 1260 Nyon 2, Switzerland, acting as data controller on its Football Administration and Management Environment (FAME) platform. |
| Purposes of the processing | The personal data are collected and processed: i.for the purposes of processing the application for accreditation and, if such application is successful, providing the data subject with an accreditation permitting access to the Event (as defined in the UEFA Accreditation Terms and Conditions). ii.for the purposes of any relevant safety, security and sanitary measures related to the Event (including sanitary measures in the context of COVID-19). |
| Legal basis | The personal data are processed on the basis that such processing is necessary: i.for the performance of the contract entered into between UEFA and the data subject or the company which has a contract with the data subject. ii.for the purpose of legitimate interests pursued by UEFA and/or the UEFA member association(s) in whose country the Event is taking place (the “Host Association”) in order to ensure relevant safety, security and sanitary measures related to the Event . |
| Categories of recipients | You understand that the personal data will be processed within UEFA and its subsidiary UEFA Events SA (UEFA’s service provider in relation to the accreditation process), by their employees and any third party appointed by them to assist in the organisation of the Event. UEFA and/or UEFA Events SA uses the following categories of third party and may transfer certain personal data to these recipients for the sole purpose of the performance of their activities related to the Event: · the relevant Host Association, who is responsible for safety and security at the Event and who is an independent data controller; · technical service providers which help to maintain the security and performance of FAME; · the owner of the Event venue(s) and/or stadium(s) for the purposes of safety and security; security and access/access control service providers which help to maintain safety and security at the Event. |
| Onward transfer | Certain personal data may be further transferred to any relevant public authorities, based on legal provisions and obligations, for the purpose of safety, security and/or sanitary measures related to the Event, in particular for the purposes of any administrative process or request from the relevant authorities related to the performance of activities on their soil (including background screening of data subjects by the relevant authorities). UEFA will implement appropriate safeguards in the event of a transfer of personal data to the parties identified above located in a country which does not ensure an adequate level of protection within the meaning of applicable data protection laws. |
| Storage | All personal data provided to UEFA shall be stored in the FAME platform in a database located in Switzerland and/or within the European Union. |
| Your rights | The data subject may access, update or delete his/her personal data by contacting us at: accreditation.u21@uefa.ch The data privacy team can be contacted at: privacy@uefa.ch. Data subjects have also the right to lodge a complaint with their local Data Protection Supervisory Authority and have the ability to seek to enforce their rights through a judicial remedy. |
| Retention period | The personal data is only collected and processed by UEFA for no longer than is necessary for the purposes described above, unless the use of such personal data is further required for ongoing administrative or judicial proceedings relating to the Event or, where necessary, for preventing or detecting unlawful actions. |
| Personal data obtained from others | IF YOU SUBMIT PERSONAL DATA ON BEHALF OF OR FOR OTHERS, YOU CONFIRM HAVING INFORMED THE DATA SUBJECT OF THE CONTENT OF THIS PRIVACY NOTIFICATION PRIOR TO DATA CAPTURE. YOU ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF INFORMING EACH PERSON OR ENTITY OF THESE RULES AND PROCEDURES. UEFA AND OR UEFA EVENTS SA IS ENTITLED TO REQUIRE AT ANY TIME EVIDENCE OF THE PROVISION OF SUCH INFORMATION. |
